So thought I would share some insight into Cellulite.
Firstly, every single one of us has cellulite. Even men!

Cellulite is a condition in which the skin has a dimpled, lumpy appearance.
It usually affects the buttocks and thighs, but can also occur in other areas also.
Cellulite occurs when fat deposits push through the connective tissue beneath the skin.
Can you get rid of cellulite?
Weight loss can help some people who have cellulite, but only if you are medically considered overweight. Losing excess body fat can naturally reduce the appearance of cellulite.
If you do want to loose weight, you may find that a healthy diet and exercise can help reduce dimples on the thighs.
Cellulite can develop or become more noticeable with weight gain.
Loosing weight and strengthening muscles in the legs, buttocks and abdomen may make cellulite less noticeable in those troublesome areas.
Cellulite will not go away all together. This is because once a fat cell develops, it stays with you for life.
What helps cellulite go away?
- Get moving
- Eat more raw foods
- Loose some weight
- Massage; professionally and daily at home
- Use professional products on target areas of cellulite
- Drink more water
- Body brushing
Does cellulite worsen with age?
Women develop cellulite more often than men do, although it definitely can affect both men and women.
Cellulite does tend to get worse with age, since our skin becomes more saggy and loose due to loss of collagen and muscle mass loss.
Cellulite can also be caused by toxins within the body.
Cellulite occurs when underlying fat deposits begin to push through layers of collagen fibres, or connective tissue, under the skin (often in the buttocks and thighs) but also arms and the abdomen.
Why do we get cellulite all of a sudden?
Fat cells enlarge as estrogen levels fall. As the fat under the skin protrudes through weakened connective tissue, the familiar dimpling effect then occurs.
Age also makes the skin less elastic, thinner making dimpling occur.
It is not caffeine alone that causes cellulite but high caffeine consumption along wit refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods may have impact with causing cellulite to form.
Limiting the above in moderation will help prevention.
Dehydrated skin also causes skin to weaken and become more thinner.
Drinking plenty of water can aid your body in metabolising fat, ridding itself of toxins and hiding cellulite via thicker skin.
Green Tea -
Drinking green tea can help reduce the signs of cellulite. Green Tea has been found to be effective for increasing energy and assisting weight loss. Poor circulation reduces the bodies ability to deliver nutrients to skin cells, causing them to clump together which can compound cellulite problems.
Having professional massage treatments can reduce cellulite by improving lymphatic drainage. It can also help stimulate and stretch the skins tissue - this aids smoothing of dimpling.
Body Brushing -
Dry body brushing daily can help diminish the appearance of cellulite by helping in removing toxins from the body and stimulating your blood circulation.
It is best to dry body brush the body daily, before bathing or showering.
Always brush in upward strokes, sweeping up towards the heart.

Cellulite appearance on men -
Men do suffer with cellulite, however as a mans skin is naturally thicker than a women's it is less noticeable.
