My Story

A little about me....

I have been a qualified Beauty Therapist since 2006 and just love making people feel rejuvenated, more confident and enhancing their natural beauty!

I am from Essex and studied at Havering College of Further and Higher Education, located in Hornchurch, Essex.

I studied Advanced Beauty Therapy for 3 years and I loved it! (I love learning)

My qualifications include City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy, VTCT NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy, VTCT Level 3 Artificial Nail Technology, Level 3 Award in Education (PTTLS), Level 3 Assessor Award in Education plus a variety of additional qualifications on courses completed over the years.

I truly believe you should always continue learning through your life and career.

I love performing a variety of treatments, if I had to pick I would say I have always had a love of nails and skin care. I am all about natural / non invasive treatments to enhance, perfect and correct.

I am an absolute perfectionist and always work to the highest and most professional standards. This is something I am really take seriously in my career.

I am always investing in myself, whether it is in my personal life or career.

My business is my pride and joy and I genuinely love what I do and making people feel more beautiful from within.

Before I launched Moroccan Rose, I was a Senior Spa Therapist at some of London's most prestigious 5 star day spa's for several years. I started my career at London's iconic and famous ladies only day spa 'The Sanctuary Spa' in Covent Garden. Here I progressed as a team leader and becoming a senior within just a few months of me joining the spa.

I always knew within myself, one day I would open my own luxury boutique beauty salon with a holistic twist; incorporating relaxation, luxurious surroundings and offering bespoke aesthetic treatments alongside essential everyday beauty treatments for men, women and also including expectant mothers.

Since launching Moroccan Rose in 2013, Moroccan Rose has become a 18x multi award winning business which is beyond my wildest dreams. I am so very grateful to be recognised by industry professionals and of course the support of my lovely clients who schedule in some pampering with myself at Moroccan Rose. Their support, loyalty and nominating myself and my small business is really touching.

Fun Fact about how the business got its name. . . .

I am often asked how I chose my business name so let me share it with you.

My beloved nannie, Rose who sadly passed away when I was just 11 years old. When I was coming up with the name, I knew I wanted to have her name to be part of the business name, in her memory. The Moroccan element came from the décor, creating more of a cosy spa feel than generic beauty salon. I find lighting really creates the mood, and choosing a warm colour palette at the salon plus I love Moroccan lanterns and how they twinkle. I launched my business with an authentic Parisian brand where key ingredients are sourced in Morocco, including Rose. Combining these elements 'Moroccan Rose' was born.

Sadly I have never visited Morocco, I would love too at some point take a trip there.

I am also a qualified Level 3 teacher and assessor plus I am a lead nail artist at events including London Fashion Week.

There are lots of new and exciting things in the pipeline for Moroccan Rose; including our bespoke handmade products..... Wylde Rose!
