A little bit about me.....
I have been a qualified Beauty Therapist since 2006 and just love making people feel rejuvenated, more confident and enhancing their natural beauty!
I am from Romford, Essex and studied at Havering College of Further and Higher Education, located in Hornchurch, Essex. I studied Beauty Therapy here for 3 years and loved it!
My qualifications include City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy, VTCT NVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy, VTCT Level 3 Artificial Nail Technology, Level 3 Award in Education (PTTLS), Level 3 Assessor Award in Education plus a variety of additional qualifications on courses completed over the years.
I love performing various types of treatments, if I had to pick I would say I have always had a love of nails and skin care, so definitely Manicures/Pedicures and Facials. I am all about natural treatments to enhance, perfect and correct.
I am a total perfectionist and always work to the highest and most professional standards.
I am always investing in myself, career and business to be the best I can and also offer the best quality treatments and products to my lovely clients.
Before I launched Moroccan Rose, I was a Senior Spa Therapist at some of London's most prestigious 5 star day spa's for several years. I started my career at London's iconic and famous ladies only day spa 'The Sanctuary Spa' in Covent Garden.
I always knew I would one day open my own luxury boutique spa style of beauty salon; incorporating relaxation, luxurious surroundings and offering bespoke wellness rituals alongside essential beauty treatment for men, women and expectant mothers.
Since launching Moroccan Rose in 2013, Moroccan Rose has become a 16x award winning beauty boutique which is beyond my wildest dreams. I am so very grateful to be recognised by industry professionals and of course the support of my lovely clients who schedule in some pampering at Moroccan Rose.
I am often asked where did the name come from so let me share it with you.
I only had one living grandparent, Rose who sadly passed away when I was just 11 years old.. I was close to my nan and when I was coming up with the name I knew I wanted Rose to be within the business name, in her memory. I struggled to fit another word together to compliment Rose and one day I drove past the shop and proudly looked up and thought my shop has a name... the sign had gone up but I was yet to come up with the name.. It was my mum who chose Moroccan and that is how the name 'Moroccan Rose' come about.
I find lighting really creates the mood, and going for a warm colour scheme at the salon I wanted Moroccan lanterns. I had previously worked in a Moroccan Inspired spa in London and it was such a beautiful spa and I launched with an authentic Parisian brand where key ingredients are sourced in Morocco. Combining these elements 'Moroccan Rose' was born. Thanks mum!
The next thing I get asked occasionally is if I am Moroccan... the answer is no, I am English, born in Romford, Essex and have never been to Morocco. One day I would like to visit.
I am also a qualified teacher and lead nail artist at London Fashion Week.
There are lots of new and exciting things in the pipeline for Moroccan Rose.... stay tuned!
